P&O have announced some changes to their alcohol policy and dress code, this will see a new positioning that they say ‘will offer guests more of what they love about P&O Cruises and make the experience special for everyone’.
The changes will definitely impact those who treat the Short breaks as Party cruises – P&O appear to want to show their Short Breaks are up to the same standards as their longer cruises and not full of Hens and Stags.
The main changes are listed below:
No longer to be advertised as a Party / Celebration cruise:
Cruises between 2 and 5 nights are now ‘Short Breaks’ – not ‘Party Cruises’. This is so all guests can enjoy the P&O experience, whether you are on a 3 night or 14 night cruise, the standards and expectations will be the same
From 1st of January:
Guests will be expected to adhere to dress codes and the following will be prohibited:
Clothing with personalised slogans and images (The type you find on stag/hen parties)
Inflatables, bar crawls, practical jokes and drunken behaviour.
From 1st of February:
Adults over the age of 18 will be restricted to bringing on board one bottle of wine or Champagne or Beer or Spirit (1 litre).
Bottles bought during a visit to a port also can no longer be consumed on board and will be safely stored.
